Google Ads for Tradies

Someone in your area is typing your trade into Google right now, and the top of that results page is for sale. We run the campaign that puts you there: built around the jobs you want, optimised for the suburbs you cover.

  • Work in the diary within days, not months
  • You choose the jobs you bid on
  • You choose the suburbs you show in
  • Every call and form traced back to its search

Why the channel matters

Be the one they call, not your competitor.

Google Ads helps you capitalise on customers searching for specific words. It buys you the top of the page to ensure that the customer is more likely to choose you.

  • Early website visibility

Natural rankings take months of steady work and constant improvement to build. Paid search bridges that gap, putting your site at the top of Google while the SEO underneath it catches up.

  • Tailored to the work you want

We choose keywords around the customers you want and the services you want them to buy, so the budget goes to the jobs worth quoting on rather than whatever happens to get clicked.

  • Improve lead consistency

Trade work runs hot and cold with the season. Spend can be lifted through the quieter months so enquiries keep arriving when the phone would otherwise be still.

  • Make it count

We track which keywords earn their spend and in which periods, then move the budget toward them. Changing where and when the money goes is what brings in the best qualified leads for your trade.

The basics

How Google Ads works for a trade business.

Google Ads puts your business at the top of the results page at the exact moment someone searches for the job you do.

  1. We start from what they type

Every service you want more of becomes its own keyword, taken from the words your customers actually search rather than the ones a marketer would pick.

  2. Your ad takes the top of the page

Google sells the space above the Google Maps results and the organic listings. Your ad appears for the searches you choose, and the suburbs you choose.

  3. And Google Maps too

The same campaign places you in Google Maps, where someone hunting for a tradie nearby taps the listing and calls straight from it.

Frequently asked questions.

Is it worth running Google Ads as a tradie?

For most trades, yes. We tailor the ads and use our data analysis to bring in leads that are more likely to spend with you, and to favour the services that are more profitable for you.

Can I just run Google Ads myself?

You can, and plenty of tradies have burned a few thousand dollars finding out how much attention the ads actually need to succeed. Running it properly is weekly work: search terms reviewed, waste excluded, bids and budgets moved toward what converts. That is the job we do while you are on the tools.

Do I need a new website before running ads?

No. Ads need a page that converts, not necessarily a new website. If your current site is fast and gives visitors one clear way to contact you, we can send traffic to it. If it isn't, we build the landing pages ourselves as part of the same service. A click is too expensive to land on a page that loses it.

What does a lead cost with Google Ads?

There is no single figure: cost per lead is your cost per click multiplied by the clicks it takes to produce an enquiry, and click prices are set by auction, moving with trade, suburb and season.

How do I know the leads actually came from the ads?

Every campaign runs with a tracking number and form attribution, so each enquiry is tied to the keyword, the ad and the landing page behind it. Our reporting process links each ad to specific website traffic, calls and submitted contact forms, so you can check the claim instead of taking our word for it.
